“Who Will Fight for Them?” A Visit to Our Lady of Providence Rehabilitation Center

Some children are born into love. Some are carried in warm arms, surrounded by care, protected from the harshness of the world.

But others are not so lucky.

At Our Lady of Providence Rehabilitation Center, we met children who have endured the unthinkable. Orphans with no one to call family. Children abandoned because they were “too much to handle.” Precious souls living with Down syndrome, epilepsy, autism, and other conditions that society too often ignores.

They did not choose this life. They did not ask to be different. Yet, many of them have been cast aside, left to struggle in silence.

Deking Charity Foundation came not just to give, but to stand with them.

We brought food, medical supplies, clothing, and school materials. But more than that, we brought our time, our hands, our hearts.

As we walked through the center, we saw resilience like no other. Children who have faced rejection yet still reach out for love. Children who have been called “a burden” yet still find the strength to smile. Children who have been told they will never amount to anything, yet still dream.

And behind them, the caregivers. The unseen heroes.

Day and night, they give everything they have, even when they have nothing left. They fight for these children, even when the world looks away. But they cannot do it alone.

These children need more than just survival. They need education. They need medical care. They need a world that does not just tolerate them but embraces them.

This is not just charity. This is justice.

To everyone reading this: Will you fight for them?

Because love is not just about giving—it is about standing up for those who cannot stand for themselves.

A meal can feed a child for a day, but an opportunity can change their life forever.

Together, we can make a difference.
